Radio Communications Course
Armadillo is offering a 2-day residential communications course on 6 and 7 April in North Yorkshire, UK.
Led by John Jacobs, who literally wrote the Codan manual, the course will cover the following topics:
- Fundamentals of electricity and radio
- HF radio & ionospheric propagation – basic
- Codan NGT variants and their features
- NGT operation – basic
- Radio operation protocols
- NGT concepts, architecture and calling systems
- Quickstart programming
- Operation of ancillary devices as required (modems, crosspatch, telephone
- interface, GPS etc)
- Preventive maintenance
- Radio room security
Places are limited to just four participants to maximise practice, so it will be first come, first served! Fully catered, including transfers to railway station, the course is offered at a fantastic price of just £325.
