Effective Resilience Training
- How can you reduce your vulnerability to stress related security incidents?
- How do you reduce stress related burn out & improve program efficiency?
- What “Duty of Care” can the HQ implement that will actually make a real difference?
We would like to introduce effective resilience training to meet these, and more, important questions, and we would like to show you how, at a no cost one day introduction, in London, hosted in the Muslim Aid offices.
For too many people, existing measures, where even followed, are not proving enough. The costs in lost programming, money, and lives are too great. Let’s do something meaningful about it.
Armadillo is all about enabling programmes. We work in humanitarian safety and security, and we believe effective resilience training is part of that, WORKING WHERE IT MATTERS.
We have joined with Achilles, an expert resilience-training group that has been developing an effective product to make a real difference
We are working together to offer you a no fee, one day experience with Achilles in London in 2011.
Who should come? People who will report back to your decision makers about this initiative. We need people who can make a difference in their organisations and make or influence decisions on future training provision. HR and Security are two possible areas you might come from?

Armadillo Achilles Resilience Training
Achilles is a training and consultancy programme that builds the resilience and supports the mental health of humanitarian staff. By building resilience, staff efficiency, security and wellbeing is increased, leading to less burn-out, stress related drops in performance, and a better team dynamic. Achilles is suitable for both national and international staff and can be delivered in Europe or in the field.
Achilles is the most complete resilience package that exists on the market today, incorporating psycho-education, innovative “embodied” techniques, cultural factors, CBT, communication skills and psychological first-aid. It begins with an organisational consultancy where we will support your current structures and systems and make recommendations, has a three-day training at its core and a one-day follow-up session (post deployment for internationals).
The training is highly experiential and focuses on real-world application and practical skill acquisition. It is taught by a team who have relevant non-profit sector experience and well as subject matter expertise
