Having embarked on a training mission to Haiti Armadillo now finds itself involved in several weeks of interim support to our client as they seek a permanent replacement. Having regained contextual expertise we look forward to carrying this on with new clients.

Michelle Mackintosh recently led a training support contract in Khartoum, focussing on crisis response with an INGO client. Earlier in the year we provided two interim security officers in Darfur and our context knowledge remains strong.

Armadillo in the Niger Delta

After a year of supporting our environmental client in the field full time, we enter a break in that programme as the way ahead is agreed. In the meantime we have developed our context expertise through working with some smaller INGO partners, and in supporting a legal team involved in a major claim.

Pirate Hostages Freed

This in from the BBC: Pirates in northern Somalia have freed a Ukrainian ship and its 14-member crew for a ransom of $800,000 (£400,000), officials in the region say.
